In the 1970s, the property that is now Vincent Lake Cabins was home to a small girls’ summer camp, where days were shaped by lake life, outdoor exploration, and time spent together on the water. When the camp era came to a close, the property transitioned into private ownership, thoughtfully cared for by a series of families who valued its privacy, simplicity, and connection to Vincent Lake.
Over the years, each steward left their mark while preserving the spirit of the place. Today, Vincent Lake Cabins remains intentionally intimate and privately held, offering refined accommodations that honor its past while providing a calm, elevated lakeside retreat designed for modern comfort and unhurried time on the water.
Meet the Hosts
After growing up in the suburbs of Detroit and spending more than a decade in Charleston, South Carolina, Justin felt drawn to return home to Michigan and build something lasting along the shores of Vincent Lake. His family acquired the property in 2013, and for many years it served as a private family retreat, shaped by time spent together on the water and a deep appreciation for the lake’s quiet setting.
In 2025, Justin and his fiancée Casey began the next chapter of Vincent Lake Cabins, thoughtfully reimagining the property as an intimate lakeside retreat. In 2026, Justin and Casey made Vincent Lake their home, deepening their connection to the property and its setting. Together, they are committed to preserving its history, character, and sense of calm while welcoming guests to experience the same unhurried lake life that has defined the property for generations.

Each cabin is thoughtfully appointed with refined essentials designed for ease and comfort, from well-made beds and welcoming interiors to seamless access to the lake just beyond your door. Mornings unfold gently with soft light on the water, coffee enjoyed on the porch, and the distant call of loons drifting across the lake.
